SeaQuest partners with community based organizations in the areas we operate to ensure that we do our part to support local needs. SeaQuest Cares supports a variety of causes throughout the year.
We partner with organizations that uphold our commitment to support children’s programs. Several of the programs we hold dear include those that provide better homes for children through foster parent programs, as well as efforts that benefit children who are ill or who have disabilities.
We partner with school districts and Educational efforts like backpack drives, school night out fundraisers and with discounts on field trips for Title 1 schools.
In the summer of 2017, SeaQuest partnered with Carter BloodCare of Texas to host a blood drive at our Ridgmar Mall location. The community was eager to help in this important effort and showed up in large numbers to donate. Carter BloodCare helps supply hospitals throughout north, central, and east Texas.
In addition to donating blood, donors also enjoyed meeting some of the exotic SeaQuest animals as well as photo opportunities with magical mermaids and swashbuckling pirates!
Many children in foster care don’t get the opportunity to enjoy the typical childhood experiences that other children have. SeaQuest is proud to partner with Upbring in their mission to help Texans break the cycle of child abuse and raise the standards for how Texas children are treated.
Together, SeaQuest and Upbring help foster families treat the children in their care to a fun, educational experience that they will remember for years to come. Foster children are always welcome, free of charge, to any SeaQuest location year-round.
We believe that all children deserve a quality education, however we understand that not every family can afford to provide their children with new school supplies every year. To help support families needing assistance, SeaQuest organizes backpack drives to collect donations. We invite members of our community to gather new backpacks and fill them with as many school supplies as possible.
For every donation, SeaQuest offers an aquarium day pass to the person donating as well as the child receiving a backpack. Over 600 donations have been collected in a single backpack drive! The donations are sent to local aid organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters.
